Science-Inspired Wines

Napa Valley boutique winery Linnaea incorporates many elements of the two founders’ scientific backgrounds. For one, the name of the first wine released was chosen according to Linnaean taxonomy. Represented on the label is a modern interpretation of rhizotomis, the first chemists and medics who had in-depth knowledge of plant-life, nature and the workings of the universe. The beautiful label must certainly stand out on the shelf.

Feasting My Eyes On…

At the moment, I am loving hand-painted ceramics,

this striking student fashion project,

this thoughtful Sartorialist photoshoot,

light fixtures made of hand-blown glass,

rainbow-coloured favelas,

mix-and-match patterns,

sweet packaging for sweeteeth,

sweet letterpress cards,

round area rugs in living rooms,

a “Birkin bag” I can afford,

maximizing a small space,

and this watch-shaped gold bracelet.

At the moment, I am loving colourful chairs in neutral settings,

brushtroke motifs on tops,

quirky wine-label design,

wooden walls and hues of blues,

summery hats,

cute notebooks for scribbling your thoughts,

this amazing bedroom,

and vintage swimming caps.

Right now, I am loving loose leaf inspiration,

the fusion of styles in this room,

Lake Jane’s new Montreal neighbourhood print,

hot pink matches,

hot pink sofas,

the backs of these dresses,

cool product packaging,

and garden gnomes.

These beautiful wine labels were created by Meeta Panesar – don’t they make you want to try the wine? I’ve been researching Albers Winery, but to no avail.
