A sense of humour in life is essential; your home decor should be no exception. Abigail Ahern presented some pretty hilarious lamps at the recent Maison Objet show in Paris.

At the moment, I am loving this stripey jacket by Givenchy,

these beautiful Marimekko vases from the fall collection,

this sunny room with its shiny floors,

chevron-shaped earrings,

low bookshelves and royal purple easy chairs,

wooden ceilings,

industrial chic lamps,

everything about this outfit,

and comfy reading corners.

Danish designer Rae Elise Larsen‘s work is my cup of tea. These very girly boxes, lamps, paper goods, cushions and kitchen towels (among other things) are playful and bright. I love that she even sells lamp cords covered in a variety of colours. These items are a great choice for adding a pop of colour to any room.

Well, it was only a matter of time before I posted something else that was multi-c0loured. the Hi-Light Task Lamp is my kinda lamp. Bendy, quirky and above all, bright and cheery.
