The Vamoose

It seems that I’ve become a girlie-girl, because I cannot stop buying jewellery. And looking at jewellery online. And posting about jewellery on this blog.  So I know jewellery.  I know good jewellery when I see it. And UK-based The Vamoose, my friends, does jewellery pretty darn well. Kathryn Blackmore has created a lovely mix of natural and vintage materials that is both stunning and unique, delicate without being effaced.

Ethereal Noemiah

When I got every single piece of jewellery I owned stolen, I was devastated. But secretly, I was sort of happy I had full permission to spend myself silly on some new pieces. Enter Noemiah, whose earrings got me the most compliments of everything I was newly wearing. Created by Montrealer Noémie Vaillancourt, Noemiah jewellery is delicate and almost ethereal. I was especially taken aback and enamoured by her newest pieces, which are the large feather statement necklaces pictured below. Swoon! Check out Noemiah, you won’t regret it.

Naturally Creepy Harakiri

2010

Harakiri is a creepy-cool jewellery brand created right here in Montreal. These beautiful pieces cast in sterling silver make use of real animal materials such as feathers, bird skulls, shark teeth, fish bones and shells. Sure, that’s a little sinister but it also makes for strikingly gorgeous jewellery.

You can buy straight from the creator’s website, or check out one of the stockists in Montreal.

Montreal-Made Les Noeuds

I love the uniqueness of Montreal jeweller Tamé‘s pretty knot necklaces and am pretty stoked to have one to call my own (the middle one, La Marine). If there’s a positive side to getting robbed of your entire jewellery collection, it’s getting excited about buying new, fun pieces like this one!

You can pick one up on Etsy, or if you’re in Montreal, check them out in person at Unicorn boutique.

Feasting My Eyes On…

At the moment, I am adoring vintage-cut swimsuits,

the return of carpeting (though I remain a die-hard lover of wood),

shoulder-baring tops,

rompers and hats,

bold necklaces,

découpage chairs,

and cute dresses, even if they’re Miu Miu knockoffs.
