I’m thinking of sitting on my balcony with young families milling about below. Everyone is outdoors because being indoors is untenable in this hot weather. My painted toes are in flip-flops, a glass of white wine and a magazine are in my hands, my feet are up, my phone is at the ready and there’s one of these cute-as-hell tables right next to me… Aaaah. My friend Mireille certainly has an eye for a beautiful piece of furniture. When she spotted an old chair in a dumpster in Ottawa she decided it still had potential, so she took it home.  She asked a friend, Chris Lewis, to reupholster the chair for her. Chris removed the wicker from the sides, changed the fabric to a more classic colour and added some extra cushioning.  The result is nothing short of stunning – check it out!

I enjoy the mixture of natural wood and blue metallic legs on this table by German designer Manuel Welsky. I do love me a big, spacious workspace!
