Pink and Yellow for the Patio
2012
I’m thinking of sitting on my balcony with young families milling about below. Everyone is outdoors because being indoors is untenable in this hot weather. My painted toes are in flip-flops, a glass of white wine and a magazine are in my hands, my feet are up, my phone is at the ready and there’s one of these cute-as-hell tables right next to me… Aaaah. The picture is complete.
The table is designed by HAY and can be purchased here.

My friend Mireille certainly has an eye for a beautiful piece of furniture. When she spotted an old chair in a dumpster in Ottawa she decided it still had potential, so she took it home. She asked a friend, Chris Lewis, to reupholster the chair for her. Chris removed the wicker from the sides, changed the fabric to a more classic colour and added some extra cushioning. The result is nothing short of stunning – check it out!
I enjoy the mixture of natural wood and blue metallic legs on this table by German designer Manuel Welsky. I do love me a big, spacious workspace!

The Sixagon side table made by Misewell (available on Horne) is made of steel in the USA. I love how it combines an industrial aesthetic with bright colours!
