Castle is an Australian brand created by Rachel Castle that makes the loveliest handmade linens and artwork. Most recently they’ve teamed up with another company, Gorman, to launch a clothing line inpsired by the Castle aesthetic. The products are total eye candy, don’t you think?

You’ve gotta have guts to wear bright pants, but if you pull it off, it’s pretty fabulous!

Cool Colours

2011

It all started with the Marc by Marc Jacobs dress at top right. It’s made of silk and I can picture the swoosh of it and how fun it is to wear. But mostly it’s the colours that have me gaga. And then I FLIPPED OUT at the Kate Spade bag and flats. How FUN is the mix of linen and bright patent leather? And then I went nuts clicking around the web for the most colourful, cutest pieces I could find. And this my friends is the result. It makes me happy and it makes me excited for SPRING!

Stella, I Love You

2011

No word of a lie: I love Stella McCartney! Well, her pre-fall 2011 collection at least. Can I have a few of these cozies now, for the -25C weather we’ve been having in Montreal? Please?

What I love: the preponderance of green, navy and camel, the geometric shapes and the big bulky coats. Not to mention that incredible LBD. So wearable!

Jesse James Jake Vintage

Dear friends, I have discovered the Mecca of vintage Etsy shops. And it goes by the name of Jesse James Jake. This shop features listing after listing of fabulous vintage ’60s and ’70s treasures styled and photographed so enticingly…

You know, I don’t really own any vintage items – except if you count my Halloween costume – but some staples are definitely worth adding to the wardrobe, such as a good ’60s shift or mod dress. I am seriously considering getting an item or two from Jess (the shop owner). Blame the influence of Mad Men if you’d like. What about you? Do you buy and wear vintage clothing? What are your favourite decades?
