As the air turns crisp here in Montreal, I’m easing away from bare toes and back to closed shoes and pulling jackets over my short-sleeved tops. I’d love to pretend that summer isn’t ending – I love the season so much – but such denial would be silly at this point. Because the truth is: I cherish my warmth and coziness above all. And that means, turning my attention to my fall wardrobe. Because who am I kidding. This is Montreal.

To that point, I have my heart set on these Chie Miahara boots from the fall-winter collection. The Brazilian-born, Spanish-based, half-Japanese shoe designer creates footwear that has a rugged yet classic femininity that is distinct from anything else I spot in stores. The chunky, medium- to low-heels are pretty yet comfortable for everyday wear.  I could see myself getting cozy in these, right about now.

A lovely alternative to your standard wellies are these Loeffler Randall rain booties.  I could totally get behind this chic twist to the standard rubber boot!

Ridiculous blog post title aside, what do you think of these Marc by Marc Jacob peep-toe ankle boots? I think they’re cool!
