Queens of the Hook

Browsing through Flickr recently I came across some wonderfully crafty crocheters. Embracing this grandmotherly art seems to have imbued their lives with beauty, colour and softness. I can’t help but admire the skill of their crochet work… Not to mention their photography skills.

I just recently became obsessed with learning to crochet. So far I totally suck at it! haha :) (see this blog post: http://www.eileenjosephine.com/2010/08/crochet-fail.html )

Found your blog via Blogging Your Way and I love it! I’m definitely subscribing in Google Reader.

Hi Caroline, I’m visiting via Blogging Your Way – good luck with the classes!

These are beautiful photos that you found! I tried to crochet once – even took lessons. I think I’m more suited to buying beautiful crochet. :)

I am completely obsessed with all of the beautiful crochet out there. I started my own granny square afghan inspired by dottie angel and emma lamb, among others. I feel like it’s going to take forever to finish, but it’s so much fun choosing all of the color combinations for each square.

Red is the ultimate cure for sadness.
