While I do own a fancy chef’s knife, my smaller kitchen knife collection leaves something to be desired. This “cook’s essentials” set by French manufacturer Opinel, available on Pergolina.com, includes a paring knife, a serrated knife, a vegetable knife and a peeler knife. Practical – and beautiful!

Vegetable knife? Man. I can never tell knives apart!

A good knife set i so important, especially because I eat a lot of fruit. The only thing I would change is the peeler — I find something with a bigger handle (like the good grips peeler) is easier to handle and work with.
