Family Affairs

I love this photography, it has got such a cool vintage look to it. And check out her HAIR! The images are from the Family Affairs spring/summer lookbook.

Well, it was only a matter of time before I posted something else that was multi-c0loured. the Hi-Light Task Lamp is my kinda lamp. Bendy, quirky and above all, bright and cheery.
Nothing like a big old ring to make you feel like a million bucks. The “Crown of Thorns” ring was created by Alex and Chloe.
So this is my final “what I got for my birthday” post – as this is perhaps getting a bit old. This beautiful painting was given to me by my parents. They are art collectors, but I hadn’t yet ventured into that world. It is by Niko, a Montreal artist. When I saw it in the gallery, I was immediately struck by the drama of this work.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look as great in photos as it does in reality. The colours are vibrant in real life, and it also has this messy, textured surface: certain parts are thickly lacquered and others are not. I feel SO lucky to have this painting in my home! Merci Maman et Papa!!
I’m all about my birthday this year. It must be the big number that is affecting me. These posts aren’t at all about bragging but moreso about being thankful for all the amazing people in my life and how much they mean to me – 365 days a year.
This amazing Edible Arrangements presentation has the numbers 30 carved into pineapple. That is the coolest thing ever! My little brother Simon gave this to me and I scarfed the whole thing down. The best part: the chocolate covered bananas. But I saved the numbers for last.
Apologies for the picture quality, I’m totally not a photographer as you can see!
More to come tomorrow!
